Alright, so today I have been trying out a bunch of different movement techniques, but I think I finally found the one I will be using for my final. I had tried one technique that I had seen past art and design student use where they just drew a bunch of lines creating a flared look. But I just wasn’t happy with the results, so, like I mentioned before, I chose to attempt the example from the book. The one that had lines that stretched from one side of the page to the other, overlapping, and creating this turning effect on the paper.

I was inspired to create and attempt this sketch after looking at several examples of movement and a little help from Mr. Meserve! Like the assignment implies, I was trying to get some movement to appear with the use of several overlapping lines. Once I finish each of the four corners, I should get this really cool design that looks like the paper is turning and almost like you could go underneath the lines, if that makes sense. From this I plan to add four more of what you see below, but on each corner. Once its finish, I think it should end up looking pretty awesome!

Alright, so today we started our "movement" project. The goal of the project is to create movement with a combination of different lines. I was looking through examples, and I found a sample of a project that I really liked. It was several overlapping lines connecting one side of the page to the other. All the lines created this turning effect on the paper, like the paper was folding, or something. Its kind of hard to explain, but it really looked cool.  I think I will succeed if I try several different techniques instead of just trying one. I am planning on experimenting with the position on the grouped lines, trying one in the upper corner, and one in the bottom former, or maybe even one small group on one side and a huge group in the opposite side. I am not completely sure, but I will try a few different techniques until I find one I am happy with.  I will just have to keep on practicing until I get a project I am satisfied with. I really hope that I can grasp the concept of the project and really create the illusion of movement through the lines.  Well, I am off to take a shot at this project...

Wish me luck!! :)
